CG pieces -more added...if yuo care- « Thread Started on Apr 25, 2006, 9:28am »
Alexis as a Ninja my newest piece! info about it @ dA i'll add my other picture links later...i'm lazy
Fixed David T yeah, more or less the same pic, but i fined the lineart over the image^^ boogie. i'm trying not to change it anymore, mostly b/c i'm tired of looking at it DX
Megacrap Shadow Wallpaper i'd loved the panel when i'd first seen it, and then after holdingon to that page for like... a month+ i finally made this megacrap wallpaper wiht it! boogie. if i feel up to it, i'll fix it, seriously. it took me forever to color shadow here. and i know there are a bigillion mistakes, bah! it's done and done now...
Bernie, Ace of Ladybugs Bernie is Mayeko's Ace for the Pandect RPG. Pandect RPG Forums A forum baised off of another webcomic i read. This was my second coloring piece. took me a whole between doing class work, so yeah...i got tired of looking at this too. maybe one day i'll do more/better shading, who knows. i sure and fuck don't.
The first colored David uber-mega crap compared to the second one featured above. yeah, my very first ever CG picture, so boogie. a few things changed between this and the other one, but this isn't too bad in my opinion for a very first CG-ed picture

This could be pretty cool, If there where highlights. And SHADOWS.
Lookie, the metal headband, metal is shiny. super shiny. So add some white in, and along with is some dark grey colors. Add some texture to her hair, if you put more highlights and shadows it could look more realistic.
Look around you...Light bounces off everything. Try to show that, with highlights, (Not white, just lighter versions of the color and darker versions of the color.)

bah!
firstly, i've been suing a mouse (no excuse, i've seen very awesome mouse colorers) secondly, i did that during school thirdly, had a very creepeh sub talking to me while i was working, and i had almost no tolerence to finish that that day 4th-ly, i just figured out how to use photoshop in...febuary, duing a class i have every other day 5th-ly, i dunno how to use half the stuff in photoshop. i used the pencil to outline that, the bucket to color, and the brush to do whatever i didn't feel like using the pencil for. dodge, burn, sharpen and those tools were my friends for coloring finally, i'm a better with colored pencils (in my head at least) then i am with any/everything else.

Excuses? No. Don't make excuses, if you want help.
K I really wanted to photoshop, and help you so here:
First off metal. Get a standard metal color, mine is a little dark, get a highlight. Around the highlight there is dark, blend in with opacity, and use the eyedropper to pick the colors right. I made mine smaller and added more on the outside. This isn't very realistic but it gets the point across. Also: Real naruto headband, see how the light bounces off all funny, and reflections are in it. (if the image has no backround, sometimes reflections aren't nessecsary) http://www.asylum-anime.com/accessories/n_naruto_headband.jpg
Antonomy: Much better refrences ON THE INTERNET. But this was a quicke to show that people have a bit of a shape. Little things like: The bellybutton almost lining up with the elbow, the hands at the crotch, 7 heads tall for about a teenager, or if you're lazy, or if you like short people. shoulders are about 2 heads wide, less makes for a more slimmer, female tho. Thighs are the longest bone in our body, remeber that. So they are big and beefy. Remeber that the rib cage has to be big enough to fit our lings and organs. That goes for the midsection too. Too anorexic, and they have no room for organs. Girls big hips, men not as big. blah blah use refrences of people to get it right. or just look at yourself.
And finally I did a paintover. Over your cg. Just to straighten it out a bit k? The shoulders shoud be a bit wider, the boobs are uneven, and at weird angles. The legs longer the neck shorter. Basically she got smaller and smaller as you went down her body. Feet should be bigger too. She still looks kind of cartoonish, which makes her still cute and short.

i knew there were a million mistakes, but thanks. i'm not sure if you've wandered through any other parts of my gallery, but i do have much better stuff up there. Her body ended up too short here the chest is jacked up at the pencil level and her body is in general stubby here.it was a bad picture, but also really simple for me to color. thanks tough. she's supposed to be short! she's 5'4" roughly. that pic was also a page of doodles, that outfit goes nowhere other ten someting other then her general outfit featured below
Another pic of Alexis her chest ended up messed up here too, but she's a small person, (her body's longer here then it sould be for her height) but she's also petite. small chest, thin hims, but not accented that much. she almost has the body of a prepubecent girl, almost no figure.
